To the Skye and back

A trip guided trip that couldn't be more Scottish. From Edinburgh via the green Glencoe Valley and the heart of the Highlands, Fort William, to the most beautiful part of Scotland: the photographer's paradise, the Isle of Skye.

Ten days packed with breathtaking and varied photo-spots in the north of the British Isles. Because the Isle of Skye is larger than many suspect and achievable speeds are not very high, travel times on the island are disappointing. Therefore, a central location is chosen, from which all photo-spots are accessible within an hour.

In Scotland, the best places to take beautiful pictures often go hand in hand with walks that are everything but flat. The target-price is 850 euros per person car, accommodation and guide/driver. The exact final cost of the trip can only be determined at the time of booking. The price indication is based on previously booked trips.

During this trip the sun rises around 06:45 and sets around 18:30, which means getting up early for the best light. The daus last approximately 12 hours. Temperatures between 9 and 16 degrees Celsius should be expected. Occasional rain has its advantages, as the waterfalls carry more water then. In September there is probably more rain than during the main-season, on the other hand there are less tourists and midges.

Under normal circumstances, the total travel time by car is approximately 19:30 hours. The longest travel day is day 10, with 5 hours in the car.

Day 5 - Photo-spots near Fort William
Day 6 - Drive to the Isle of Skye
Day 7 - Photo-spots in the south of the island
Day 8 - Photo-spots in the west of the island
Day 9 - Photo-spots in the north of the island
Day 10 - Drive to Edinburgh

Driver:
The car will be driven by me during the trip.

Preparation:
Each participant will receive all travel details in pdf-files. This also includes the pre-programmed routes in Google Maps. In addition, you will receive an itinerary in which the photo-spots are explained for each day and often visualized with my own photos. You will also receive access to my interactive map with photo-spots on the island.
